Keyla M Hernandez is a Cuban born designer. Currently based out of Kent Ohio working in international design projects with an emphasis on small and medium scale digitally fabricated components. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Florida International University in Miami, and her Masters in Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) where she graduated in 2012. Previously a faculty member at Syracuse University School of Architecture, Keyla has been an invited critic for reviews at the University of Southern California, SCI-Arc and Yale. She has held design positions in various design firms in Miami, Los Angeles, and South America, and has vast experience in projects ranging in scale from interior design to master plans. Currently, she is the Lead Designer for Industria-K where her research focuses on aesthetics and the relationship between architecture and the human body.
